Naomi Friesen
BA, RMT, RYT200
My priority is for you to move, feel and be better in your body. I am grateful to each patient who entrusts her body into my hands. It is my objective to respond to this privilege and honour by providing the best care I know how.
My treatment style can be described as “therapeutic flow” with a good dose of very specific, clinical treatment. I enjoy the clinical challenge of finding the driver of your condition, and providing specific, effective treatment protocol to support you back to full function and health.
I use a variety of techniques including, but not limited to trigger point pressure release, myofascial release, deep tissue, joint mobilization and General Swedish Massage. It is very likely that I will help you re-train movement patterns that contribute to your condition. I call this movement therapy. It involves remedial pilates, yoga, and functional rehab exercise to create better movement patterns in your body. Those who participate in their healing are more likely to arrive at their goal than if one is passive in the process.
I received my RMT training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC. Prior to becoming a RMT, I was a personal trainer, pilates instructor, and yoga teacher for 25 years. I am, and always have been in love with the human body and how it moves. It is wonderful to feel free and confident in one’s own body, and I want that for everyone.
I look forward to working with you.
